This is a series of photo performances conceived and developed by Manola K. Gayatri and Priyadarshini John. The theme revolves around physical, emotional and introspective responses to the quality of light and the nature of location in each of the places visited while travelling on the Art Karavan. The shoots, which include performances by Manola K. Gayatri, one piece in Lucknow in collaboration with Yola Garbers, dancer and performer, and self-portraits, are woven together to form a travel narrative that attempts to put together some of the responses to travel, location and light – from isolation to exhaustion to nostalgia to change.
